Whiskey marinade (and sauce)

Amount: 250 grams of beef
Time: 3-5 hours

Ingredients:

Marinade:

  • Whiskey 2 tbsp
  • Honey 4 tbsp
  • Ketjap manis 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce (dark) 2 tbsp
  • Garlic clove 1 piece

Preparation:

Making the marinade:

  1. Combine all wet ingredients together, peel and mince the garlic and add to the marinade as well.
  2. Put the beef in the marinade and turn every 30-60 min, let it marinade for at least 3 hours and up to a maximum of 5 hours.

Making the sauce:

  1. Remove the beef from the sauce.
  2. Add all the remaining marinade to a sauce pan and reduce until almost thickend.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool down to thicken.
  4. Strain the garlic from the sauce if you put it in a bottle, to avoid clogging the tip!
  5. You can enjoy the sauce with the meat!
